With the 2024 Major League Baseball season approaching, there are a few teams and players that are worth watching. Teams have made plenty of movesthat will affect their roster long term.
There are many teams with high odds of winning the World Series this season. The Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and the New York Yankees are the top three teams of the projected odds list.
Aside from team performances, there are many players who can perform well on their own and are great players to look out for this season.
One player worth watching is Matt Olson, who plays first base for the Braves. Olson led the MLB in home runs with an impressive number of 54.
Olson would be a great candidate for MVP. He was one of the main contenders for the previous season MVP, alongside Braves Outfielder Ronald Acuna, Dodgers Outfielder Mookie Betts and Dodgers first baseman Freddy Freeman.
Lots of players are going into new teams and signing new contracts this season, whether it's due to a trade, a call-up or free agency signing.
Free agent pitcher Shohei Ohtani signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers with a massive contract worth 700 million dollars. Ohtani previously played with the Los Angeles Angels.
Another signing of the season is pitcher Kolby Allard who signed a one-year one million dollar contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.
It is very likely that these players are going to perform well on their new teams. Although, it might take a while for players to get used to new coaching staff, playing style and teammates.
The 2024 MLB season will be a fun season to watch with all of the new free agent signings, trades and draft picks that each team has picked up over the past few months.
This is a season to look forward to, there are many different changes in rosters that can affect how the season will go. Lots of cool things will be happening to these players on and off the field.
