Inland Empire starts 2021 with nation's highest rent increases.

During the pandemic rent growth has been a major part of the Inland Empire, Phoenix and Sacramento. Through these past hard times Los Angeles and San Bernardino County have allowed renters pay late or move to month to month but that didn't stop the incline on how much. On the other hand in Orange County, there was failing renters but now they're back on track and moving forward more than the other counties. 

"The average apartment rent in the Inland Empire was $1,662 a month during 2021’s first quarter, up $130 a month, or 8.5%, from the year before."

The Inland Empire wasn't looking so good with such high demand and failing renters but now they're slowly but surely going back on track.

Strikeout Records Fall Between Rancho Cucamonga and Inland Empire on Opening Day.

Opening day of minor leagues there were 35 strikeouts in Rancho Cucamonga. Rancho Cucamonga's team The Dodgers and Inland Empire's team is the Angels. 

3-1 at San Manuel Stadium, Rancho Cucamonga manager states "“First night game for a lot of the kids, they haven’t played in over a year, pitchers with good velocity tonight, first year players out there, there was a just a combination of a lot of things." 

The players felt at their best since they hadn't been back in the game back in one year.

CA's Inland Empire suffers warehouse pollution crisis.

In Rialto, CA there has been a local pollution in warehouses. Many people had started with a severe cough that turned into bronchitis and pneumonia. It came from a leakage from large diesel big rigs. There has been much controversy with the pollution in warehouses since many cases of people with asthma and pneumonia have been missing work. The subject hasn't been taken into action of helping the individuals and being cleaner, so the people have came together to set a rule.

Inland Empire a growing hot spot innovation jobs.

Innovative jobs have grew all around the Inland Empire in the last five years. 

"The Center for Social Innovation study showed the Inland Empire with 284,409 innovation postings last year, up 13% in a pandemic year and an 88% jump since 2016. San Bernardino County had 156,942 of these postings, up 16% in a year and 101% since 2016. Riverside County had 127,467 postings, up 9% in a year and 74% since 2016." 

 In the last five years as well the Inland Empire hasn't really had innovative jobs so they're bringing in different jobs at different locations and playing catch-up.

NFL: Inland Empire players drafted in 2021.

There have been many students that were drafted into the NFL this year from the Inland Empire. The players that were drafted were Camryn Bynum from Cal playing defense. Rancho Cucamonga alumni Darren Hall and Thomas Graham Jr. Graham was drafted to the Chicago Bears and the Atlanta Falcons chose Darren Hall. The Falcons also signed San Diego State defensive back Dwayne Johnson Jr. as an un-drafted free agent. Lorenzo Burns was drafted to Arizona Cardinals.
